Located at 207 E 18th St, Oakland, CA 94606, Pho King RESTAURANT operates as a vietnamese serving Oakland in California. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.
This group covers Japanese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, Indian and other Asian cuisines that are not Chinese, and the etiquette varies by kitchen. Japanese and Korean restaurants often take reservations for dinner and may add a service charge for large groups; Thai and Vietnamese spots are usually walk-in and quick-turnover. Spice levels are frequently adjustable on request at Thai, Indian and Sichuan-adjacent menus, so say if you want it mild or hot. Korean BBQ restaurants typically charge per person for all-you-can-eat service with a time limit, and grills are shared at the table. Vietnamese pho shops post bowl sizes (regular or large) and a plate of herbs, bean sprouts and lime is normal to add yourself. Card and tap-to-pay are widely accepted; cash-only is more common at small family-run counters.

Pho King, Oakland Itβs been awhile since Iβve came to this location, Iβve always gone to the original location on International Blvd but that location is alot smaller. This place is pretty spacious and there was outdoor dining. The place wasnβt crowded so we got seated pretty quick. The staffs were nice and friendly. What I ordered: 42. Shrimp, Squid, Ground Pork, Fish Ball with Clear Noodles. The clear noodles were good, so was everything else. Broth was clear and flavorful. Would order again! This location used to be where Rite Aid was, IYKYK! Definitely would come back again when Iβm in the area. 4/23/26- Just ordered the 22. Egg Coffee βοΈ and it was delicious! Definitely getting it again!!!

Iβve ordered βbun cha HΓ Nα»iβ togo. The pork cakes are so dry & burnt. The bbq pork slices were dried & salty as well. I havenβt been here for awhile and I think my to go experience wasnβt meet my expectations & the price has gone up too.

Not sure what happened or maybe went on a bad day. Ordered grilled beef over rice and XL pho tai chin togo. 5 thin grilled beef slices over rice and 5 raw thin slices of beef for XL pho. My dine in experience here 3 months ago was good but this is extremely discouraging me to come back for my Vietnamese food fix :/

Pretty good overall. I appreciated that it was easy to pull up and park here, even on a weekend. Portion sizes were solid; really loved the vermicelli bowl. The pho was solid, but might have had a bit too star anise in the seasoning for me, since it tasted a tad more licorice-y than I usually see. A sweeter broth, less complex in flavor. Still pretty good though- I loved the texture and bounciness of the banh pho, had a great chew to them.

*2/14/2024 The portion size was generous, but unfortunately, the soup base was overwhelmingly salty. We ended up guzzling water just to quench our thirst after eating it 7/7/2023 During my visit to Pho King in Oakland, I ordered the Bun Bo Hue, Spring Rolls, and Egg Rolls. The Bun Bo Hue consisted of Hot & Spicy Soup with Beef, Pork Blood, Pork Cake, and Vermicelli. Overall, the food tasted okay. The Bun Bo Hue had a decent flavor, although it didn't particularly stand out. The soup had a good level of spiciness, and the inclusion of beef, pork blood, and pork cake added some variety to the dish. However, I found the taste to be average, without any exceptional elements. Regarding the Spring Rolls and Egg Rolls, they were satisfactory, but they didn't leave a lasting impression. The flavors were acceptable, but I felt that they could have been more flavorful and distinctive. In summary, the food at Pho King was decent and tasted okay. While nothing was particularly outstanding, it wasn't disappointing either. It would be great if they could focus on enhancing the flavors to make the dishes more memorable.
